Selection Estate

NEW ZEALAND MARLBOROUGH SAUVIGNON BLANC

Marlborough has the sunniest, driest climate in New Zealand, and the Wairau Valleys rich soils combine with the cool nights to deliver astonishingly pungent wines, with gooseberry, herbs, pink grapefruit, fresh-cut grass, asparagus, lime-leaf, tropical fruit, passion fruit, and a host of other beguiling aromas. Few wines ever achieve the amazing aromatic complexity and zesty fruit of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. The expression of this amazing explosion of fruit is aided by our special proprietary yeast: by careful management of the yeast strain, Selection Estate New Zealand Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc casts long, rich flavours, redolent with grass and currant leaves, and a crisp dry finish.

BRITISH COLUMBIA, OKANAGAN VALLEY, CHARDONNAY (UNWOODED)

Chardonnay, often referred to as ‘the King of the white grapes’ due to its full body, round mouth-feel and complex characteristics, is admired by many wine lovers. The Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, one of the world’s most northerly wine regions, is a long narrow valley dominated by the deep Okanagan Lake. This massive body of water moderates the hot summer temperatures allowing the Chardonnay grapes to develop classic notes of apple, pear and tropical fruits. Notes of vanilla, spice, butter, and oak or cedar notes will mingle beautifully with the fruit flavours to produce a well-balanced wine. This wine would be excellent served with roasted chicken, lobster dipped in butter, creamy sauces on pasta and seafood, chicken pot pies, salmon baked in a buttery pastry, and turkey with a mushroom stuffing.

Sweetness:  Dry
